Which Italian athletes are you keeping your eye on at the Winter Olympics? I watched Sofia Goggia beat the United States fan favorite Lindsey Vonn. Goggia wasn’t even on my radar before, but she did an amazing job. She definitely deserved that gold medal!


Sofia Goggia is Italy’s first female downhill champion. A great performance indeed.

Current standings of Italy at PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games Medals: 3 x Gold :1st_place_medal:, 2 x Silver :2nd_place_medal:, 5 x Bronze :3rd_place_medal: which places Italy on the 12th spot overall.

The results are already much better than the 2 previous Olympic Winter Games from 2010 and 2014.
