Are hot springs in Italy worth visiting?

Spring is coming! Soon it will be the perfect time to go out and enjoy nature. I’ve heard that one of the popular places is the outdoor hot springs. Italy has many of those (especially in Tuscany); some even provide free access. I’m certainly intrigued. I’m just not sure what to expect from the free ones because I imagine it would be packed with visitors throughout the year regardless of the season.

How do you like the Italian hot springs so far?

I’d love to visit the hot springs! It’s the perfect way to end a busy, exhausting day. Saturnia is a name I often hear because of how popular it is. The area itself seems huge so I’m not worried about the crowd. I’m more concerned about the smell. The sulfurous smell is said to last for days!
